I’m going to the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference to cover Steve’s opening keynote. I’ll post real-time reports beginning at 10:00 am Pacific on Monday morning at Truemors. Yes, this is just another ploy to draw traffic to Truemors. :-)
If this isn’t the coolest way to get this message, I don’t know what is: via Royal Navy fighter pilot.
Shameless promoters still have limits, don’t they?
When can we expect a Truemors toolbar for Firefox – it can scroll the latest news. If the news is good you will see how many people click through. A definite vote for the post. I suppose one could set a filter to limit to a category of posting or perhaps block posts by topic.
As screens get larger there is more room for these kinds of widgets.
No charge for this advice but if you want to review my book I would be happy to make one available. :)
(Was that too shameless??)
Well … as ploys go … that is a pretty damn good one.
I thought that Steve was going to announce an Apple/Truemors tie up (widget for the iPhone maybe?).
Guy: Is this your way of leaking that news??
Woah, that was one cool site!
Sorry, wasn’t referring to Trumors (jab jab), was talking about GetTheMessage.net.
Hey, just a quick comment to say that I’m loving the blog so far. Lots of great information. Thanks. Looking forward to reading more about the WWDC keynote that you’re attending.

This should be good. I won’t follow via your site, but you could write a follow up post adding more numbers. This time it could be ‘how many seconds it took my site to crash again after trying to push traffic to it.’
Is this really how you are going to make truemors work? Just try and ploy people into visiting during certain events/times – simply because the site has no value?
I have an idea. Create a site with value, then you won’t have to continually use ploys.

I have an idea too: Don’t read my blog, then you won’t have to continually complain. :-)
Guy
It has been learnt that significant financial irregularities have been recently uncovered at GVFL (India VC) involving senior executive Bharat Kanani’s role in company divestments and dissolutions. Kanani was rumoured to be the successesor of GVFL head honcho Vishnu Varshney, whose resignation is being demanded by senior govt of Gujrat officials.
I am not sure I understand the point of Truemors? I have been visiting it, but I don’t really follow the purpose…

Ah Ha, Here comes the real one. Good for Truemor. Damn the torpedo, full speed ahead. (I can see both marketing, VC and investment banking flock to the site for picking meat and bones alike)…
Mixing fun with business is the best way to do enjoy life… remember to look up every once in a while and enjoy the keynote as well!

Unless you are going to announce some tie-in with apple/truemors then I don’t really see why you just won’t post the information on this site.
You of all people should know that if you make the information to hard to access, nobody is going to access it.
I realise you are trying to launch a site and I realise that some of your readers find value in the truemors site (I don’t really mind it that much) but some of your readers clearly don’t value your new site. I guess it’s time for you to decide what’s more important, your readers or truemors.

There’s on very good reason not to do real-time reporting here: 50,000 RSS subscribers. This means that if I’m pushing out a report every few minutes (which is what I am going to do), RSS subscribers are going to be swamped. And probably irritated.
Also, you can’t really control when Feedburner pushes out the feed. It might be an hour after the speech and so the reports will come in a big clump.
Guy
Why more traffic if you can’t handle the current load? Your blog seems to load much faster. Please find a why for better hosting, because I’m really curious what this truemors site is all about.
“I guess it’s time for you to decide what’s more important, your readers or truemors.”
Speak for yourself William, although truemors doesn’t make my top 10 list of things to visit (I have other priorities then gossip) – I appreciate the effort Guy has put into the site and his openness regarding the entire experience. He runs a VC, does public speaking for big bucks, writes books, adopts kids and who knows what else he has succeeded in. I see this blog as simply an extension mixing it all together and truemors may lead to even more knowledge being shared to his readers of which I am one of. I wish everybody in this world would be as able instead of spending their lives in cruise control.
People who say you can simply dedicate your life to one thing really itch me the wrong way… keep your limited mind to yourself if you have nothing constructive to add to all our lives.

was up this site is cool checkout mine themindful.blogspot.com
This is a site were I challegne the mind with truthful questions
Guy, i think you should rename your blog. I don’t think the content has got anything to do with changing the world. Here’s a better title suggestion: “How to make money innovatively?”
The key word, “Live Coverage WWDC” or “MacWorld EXPO” sounds great for all hungry people that want to know real time information from Steve’s keynote. (I’m also one of them)
So, I personally appreciate Guy as a real-time reporter, not a participant who can enjoy the speech. Guy’s live-coverage report is absolutely ‘the source’ for me.
Just imagine. How long are you planning to wait to see the Quicktime-streaming keynote? minutes? hours?
This is to bring to your kind attention that the blog which has appeared on your website about GVFL Limited, is completely false and baseless. I would like to request you to please remove the blog from your site and also see to it that such blogs do not appear in future.
